Inclusion Statement

At East Midlands Kung Fu, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone has the opportunity to experience the transformative benefits of martial arts. We firmly believe that martial arts should be accessible to all individuals, regardless of age, ability, or background.

We proudly champion inclusive martial arts, striving to make our programmes accessible and engaging for students with disabilities. Our instructors are committed to tailoring training methods to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that everyone can participate fully and progress confidently on their martial arts journey.

To further support our commitment to inclusivity, we have a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) who is BMABA qualified and registered. Our SENCO works closely with students, parents, and instructors to develop personalised training plans and provide the necessary support to help each student thrive within our community.

Our Commitment Includes:

Adaptive Training Methods: We modify exercises and techniques to suit individual abilities, ensuring all students can engage meaningfully in classes.

Inclusive Communication: Our instructors are trained to use a variety of communication methods to support students with sensory or cognitive disabilities.

Continuous Learning: We invest in ongoing training for our staff to stay informed about best practices in inclusivity and adaptive martial arts.

At East Midlands Kung Fu, we celebrate diversity and are passionate about empowering all our students through martial arts. We invite you to join our inclusive community, where respect, support, and personal growth are at the heart of everything we do.
